We iz serious web professionals from all different sides of the industry, with one thing that brings us together — we know a great video when we see it, and want to share great videos with others.

Five days of the week means one video a week from each of us, as follows:

Friday: A totally rad Guest Editor of the Month

The only rules we have for picking:

1) The poster can’t have been personally involved in the video’s making.
2) It has to be awesome.

Who’s Doing This

Here’s Some Awesome is a collaborative effort by the following:

Liz Shannon Miller (Mondays) has been called the Pauline Kael of online video by at least one person, having covering the online video space since 2006. She has been published by the New York Times, Variety, GigaOM, The Wrap and many other publications, and once took over the front page of YouTube with her web series picks. Based in Los Angeles, she holds a degree in screenwriting and interactive multimedia from USC, and contributes to GigaOM’s coverage of the online video universe.

Kenyatta Cheese (Tuesdays) creates projects that merge content, code, and community. Past projects include the community site and web series Know Your Meme.

Barrett Garese (Wednesdays), in a previous life, helped create United Talent Agency’s online division - the first major agency division devoted to representing and monetizing online content. He now runs a company called Spytap Industries which does a number of interesting things in social, online and future technologies.

Felicia Williams (Thursdays) spent her early career in production for film and television, then joined the digital media space in 2006 as the Assistant Editor of The Daily Reel. She left the popular online video magazine for a position at YouTube on the Editorial/Content team. Specializing in a broad range of topics that include video games, web series, and Internet television, Felicia programmed the Featured Videos for several YouTube category pages and the homepages of both US and Canada.  After YouTube, Felicia worked as Director of Creative Development at Next New Networks where she developed $99 Music Videos, Beyond the Trailer, and the Next New Creators program. Currently, Felicia uses her web savvy to help Revision3’s external producers integrate sponsorships, build viewership, and make awesome digital programming.
